Last night, a friend and I went to Islington to see Sunset Sons and The Beach play a gig in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust.
I am a big fan of Sunset Sons’ music and have seen them play a good few times since the very first time I saw them in Oxford last spring.
It was a very intimate gig with only 200 people in attendance. My friend and I managed to reach the front despite long delays on the tube. The weather was boiling, which resulted in a rather warm show!
As per usual Sunset Sons were great. The frontman, Rory, is an excellent showman and knows just when to involve the crowd. His voice is effortless but powerful and he is easy on the eye. Nobody complained when he returned shirtless for their three encore songs.
I sang, danced and whooped the whole way through and left feeling exhilarated. It was an amazing show for a great cause.
